Hi Kevin, and welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel!
That is a great question! I think you are smart to consider that yearly price increases have been the norm for the past several years on both
theme park tickets and annual passes. If your plans are relatively firm, I would go ahead and purchase your Annual Passes now. Your Annual Pass will remain in your
My Disney Experience account until it is activated in person at a Walt Disney World ticket window or
Guest Relations location. It will then be valid for 1 year from the date of activation. For reference, I purchased my Annual Pass a few months ago. In my account, the un-activated pass showed an expiration date of December 31, 2030. When I activated my pass last weekend, the expiration date updated to be one year from the date of activation.
Another benefit to purchasing your passes now is that you will be able to take advantage of any
Special Offers on Disney Resort Hotel stays exclusively for Annual Passholders. You will need to show your activated Annual Pass at your Resort Hotel's front desk to be eligible for the Annual Passholder rate.
The
Disney Platinum Pass and Disney Platinum Plus Pass both include standard theme park parking,
Disney PhotoPass downloads, and
discounts on dining, merchandise, recreation, and more. Be sure to check out all these
extra perks, especially for Annual Passholders!
Kevin, please feel free to visit the Moms Panel again with any additional questions you may have as you
plan your Walt Disney World Resort vacation. We are always happy to help. Enjoy your
year of magic!
