Hello ! me and my family are planning to come to Disney during Christmas time, but we were wondering how long do the decorations and events last? we might come in january.

    Hello, Insia!

Thanks for stopping by planDisney. Visiting Disneyland Resort during the holidays always fills my heart with joy! There is magic to be found around every corner!

While Disneyland hasn’t announced when the holiday season will wrap up this year, last season’s festivities ended on January 7, 2026. In my experience, decorations and seasonal offerings usually stick around for about a week after the new year. If you’re hoping to soak in all the holiday cheer, early January should be a great time to visit!

This year, the Holidays at Disneyland begin on November 18, 2026, so you could also consider heading to the theme parks early in the season. I love visiting in late November, as I get to enjoy the holiday festivities before it gets busy in early December. Also, the weather is still mild, and the holiday spirit is everywhere!

If you’re bringing a little one, don’t miss Chip and Dale’s Ornament Trail. It’s an adorable scavenger hunt, and you’ll receive a holiday keepsake when you return your completed map (or you can usually pick it up when you purchase the map…this is my favorite trick so I don’t have to circle back). I keep the prize hidden until my kids finish the hunt, which makes it even more magical!

I also love "it's a small world" Holiday and Haunted Mansion Holiday, and I can't forget about all of the seasonal treats and goodies! The Grand Californian Great Hall Cart and Jolly Holiday Bakery Cafe always have some of my favorites, and I’m forever on the lookout for a festive churro. Honestly, I need multiple trips just to taste everything!

Insia, since the parks tend to be busy during the holidays, I recommend booking your hotel and purchasing your park tickets as soon as you can. I hope your visit to Disneyland is filled with wonder, joy, and plenty of holiday magic!

    Season's Greetings!
    Jen
