My family is planning a WDW trip for a week in 2013. We are looking at late April or early/mid May so our children can swim. What week(s) around that time are projected to have the lowest crowds? My husband wants to go when crowds are lowest.Thanks.

Welcome to the Mom's Panel, Savannah! Congratulations on your 2013 trip to Walt Disney World!  You are my kind of girl getting a jump start on planning! The minute we decide to go to our favorite vacation destination I am all over planning every single detail!  I think late April/early May is a great time to visit the "Happiest Place on Earth!" We have visited on the last weekend in April, as well as, the first week of May and found both times to have excellent weather and very manageable crowds. I think as long as you make your trip before most schools let out for summer break, you should be okay. Also, most Spring Break Holidays are March through Mid-April. The unofficial website allears.net lists the historic attendance levels at Disney and late April through early June (with the exception of Memorial Day Weekend) are projected to be "moderate attendance."  If you do decide to travel in April, I would definitely recommend going as late as possible in the month to avoid any late Spring Break crowds. We typically visit the last week of May and find the first part of that week to be quite manageable with crowds increasing by the end of the week.  I hope this helps in making your decision!  Please write back if we can answer any more questions regarding your Walt Disney World Vacation! We would love to assist you in planning a Magical Trip!
    Happy Planning,
