My family are planning to visit Disneyland the second week of January until Sunday the 12th. Will The Haunted Mansion still be open?

Greetings, Olivia, and welcome to planDisney!

Thanks for writing to us and how wonderful to hear that you'll be visiting the Disneyland Resort so soon after the New Year! I can't think of a better way to welcome 2025 than with a trip to The Happiest Place on Earth.

The Haunted Mansion is a fan favorite attraction and a must-do for many Guests who visit Disneyland Park, so I can understand your question. We know that the Holiday Season will extend until January 6, 2025 so the Haunted Mansion Holiday overlay will likely stay until then. The attraction then typically closes for a few weeks while Cast Members remove the overlay and return it to its standard iteration. Unfortunately, we don't yet know these exact dates. You can check back at the attraction webpage or on the Daily Schedule for Attraction Closures when your visit gets closer.

I'll keep my fingers crossed for you that you get to experience this wonderful attraction! Whatever happens, it's still a great time to visit the Disneyland Resort as crowd levels are usually a bit lower at that time of year.

Olivia, I wish you a truly magical visit to The Happiest Place on Earth and have fun planning! We'll be here if you have any more questions, so don't be a stranger. Until next time!

Wishing You a Great, Big, Beautiful Tomorrow!

Meet the Panelist: Al, California

Ahoy there from the heart of Steinbeck Country in central California! I've been visiting the Disneyland Resort since childhood and fell in love with the sense of absolute immersion that the Imagineers have achieved. My favorite attraction is Pirates of the Caribbean because where else can you go from a California day to an evening boat ride in the bayou with "salty old pirates"? I'm a veterinarian and an all-around Disney geek and enthusiast. I'd love to help you plan your next Disneyland trip! Learn More About Al
