Hi! My family and I are planning a trip to WDWR. We will be purchasing the 2 day tickets. My question is - If I need to leave the park for a few hours when my kids need a break, can I still come back in that same day using the same ticket.

Welcome to planDisney, Brianna! As Tiana would say, you're almost there since your Walt Disney World Resort visit is coming up shortly. I'm imagining your suitcase sitting patiently by the door, its Mickey ears and Disney tees tucked inside. I'm so excited for you and maybe a teeny bit jealous! Let's talk about Theme Park Tickets so you can get the most out of your trip to the Most Magical Place on Earth.

Brianna, you can absolutely take a midday break and return to the theme park later. As a matter of fact, that's one of my top tips for guests. And it's not only the little princes and princesses who need a break; my husband and I also head back to our Disney Resort Hotel for a cool down by the pool. That way, we're refreshed for an evening of food and fun back at the park.

During the busiest times of the year, like holidays, a theme park could reach capacity while you're gone. In that case, you would not be allowed re-entry until capacity drops. But that is a rare occurrence, and May isn't typically a time when that would happen.

This is a reminder that you'll need a Theme Park Reservation for both days and if you happen to have the Park Hopper Option, you can go to any other park after 2:00 PM with no reservation. If you have a one-park-per-day ticket, you will return to the same park after your rest and relaxation. Just so you know, these policies will be changing soon and might be different for future visits.

Finally, if you decide you're having too much fun to leave the theme park, my family often takes a break by finding a shady spot and having a leisurely snack or light meal. I'm always amazed at how recharged I am after a short sit down to scroll through the day's photos and reconnect with my family. TIP: There's a quiet area behind Ye Olde Christmas Shoppe with tables and shade at Magic Kingdom Park. I've spent many an afternoon listening to the birds chirp while enjoying popcorn at a picnic table there.

Brianna, you'll see my pal Mickey Mouse real soon, so please give him my best. And please stop by planDisney anytime!

    Magic awaits,
    Elaine
