My family is planning a trip to WDW in May and we have heard about the Whispering Canyon Cafe many times, and are going to give it a try. Here is my question. I have read that we should ask for a bigger straw. Any insight into that?

You don't want me to spoil all the surprises do you? I will say that we've dined at the Whispering Canyon more than a dozen times over the years. It has become my kids' favorite non-character place to dine in all of WDW. There are countless over-the-top fabulous and fun traditions that the highly-animated cast member servers have developed over the years. You'll be sure to see at least one hobby-horse race through the dining room during your visit and members of your party may leave the restaurant wearing their napkins on their heads.

I won't give away the straw trick. But I will share one story that happened to my family. My husband is a major diet soda addict. One morning he asked our server at the Whispering Canyon for a "very large" Diet Coke with his breakfast (a delicious, heaping skillet full of eggs, breakfast meats and amazing biscuits). Well, let's just say that you could have bathed a German Shepherd in his soda.

You'll have a great time there. And make sure you ask for the ketchup!
