My family is planning a trip Nov 2008. It will be me, my husband, and our two children, 5 and 2. We are thinking about staying at Wilderness Lodge, but do you have any other suggestions? We want the best possible experience for our two kids (both nappers).

    Hi J,

I love the Wilderness Lodge. It is absolutely gorgeous, and it is my husband's favorite resort. It also houses my favorite restaurant, Whispering Canyon Cafe. The resort will make you feel like you are in the Northwest and not in Southern Florida.

The transportation to and from Wilderness Lodge is by boat launch to the Magic Kingdom and by motorcoach to all other destinations.

Some other alternatives are the Polynesian Resort which would give you monorail access to Magic Kingdom and EPCOT. This will make it easy to get to and from these parks quickly.

Another alternative is the Boardwalk or the Yacht and Beach Club. These resorts are serviced by a boat launch to EPCOT and Disney Hollywood Studios (you could walk to both) and motorcoaches to Magic Kingdom and Animal Kingdom. I stayed at the Boardwalk when my daughters were little just for this reason.

    Have a magical vacation!
