Hi! My family is planning a trip for 8 to Disney July 19-27. We are traveling with 4 adults, 2 16 year old, a 6 year old and a 3 year old. Can you suggest tips to plan our trip with ease and to please everyone. We have not been to Disney in about 10 Yrs

    Hi Katie,

I love big family trips to the Walt Disney World Resorts! It makes the magic even better.

I would have a family meeting that talks about meals, time spent together and where to stay. Getting these questions out of the way will make the trip easier on everyone.

Then ask each person what are their three must do's at each park. When you are at that park, do those must do's and then everything else is a bonus. It eases the disappointments which is nice.

As for tickets, stick to the basic Magic Your Way ticket and do not park hop. With a big group, you will be touring slower so no need to spend the extra money to go to another park on the same day.

You will need a stroller for both the six and three year old as you will be walking a lot and it will be hot. I recommend planning time at the pool or a water park to get out of the heat.

Finally, book dinner each night at a table service restaurant. This will allow you to regroup, enjoy air conditioning and decide how to spend the remainder of the day.

    Wishing you a magical vacation!
