Hey, Jamie! Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel and thanks for stopping by with this splashtastic question! I do not blame your husband for being excited to visit the Walt Disney World Resort Water Parks. My family did not visit the water parks during our first five years of vacationing at the Resort. We finally went a few years ago and I was blown away by how much fun they are! Disney's Typhoon Lagoon Water Park is my favorite for the overall theming and raft rides. Our older daughter is perfectly content to grab a tube and float along Castaway Creek all day. Of course, no visit is complete without enjoying at least a dozen mini doughnuts. They are a water park necessity!
Jamie, if you purchase a
One-Day Water Park Ticket, you will have the option to buy tickets with or without blockout days. This year, the blockout days are from May 26 - August 26, 2018. If you plan to visit during that time period, no worries, as you just pay the full price of the tickets. If you plan to visit outside of that time period, then you can enjoy a discount on each ticket, which at this time saves you $5/ticket.
Your water-park-fan husband may want to visit them on more than just one day. Consider
adding the Park Hopper Plus option to your theme park tickets, which will give you not only the ability to hop from one park to another each day, but also provide you with as many visits to the water parks as you have theme park visits. You could also look into the
Water Park Annual Pass, which I purchased one year when we had visits planned slightly less than a year apart. That sure made for some memorable days in the sun!
Thanks again for stopping by and please let us know if you have any other questions.
