My family is planning a trip to Disney this coming March. We would like to link our my Disney experience accounts before we buy tickets. We are having trouble doing this as when we search for one another we aren’t coming up. Allow search is turned on.

    Hey there, Caitlyn,

I'm excited that you're planning a great big, beautiful family vacation at Walt Disney World Resort. I'd be happy to help ensure everyone is connected via your Family & Friends list before you finalize your 2025 booking.

If everyone already has a MyDisney account, the simplest way to connect is by using linking codes. Here’s how:

    • Open the My Disney Experience Mobile App
    • Tap the feature menu (≡) on the bottom right of the screen
    • Scroll down to "Profile" under the "Account" section
    • Select "Show My Linking Code" at the bottom of your profile page

You can either share a screenshot of your QR code or have others send you theirs. These codes expire after 30 minutes, but you can generate a new one anytime.

When ready to connect via linking code go back to your profile and select "Family & Friends List" at the top of the screen. Scroll to the bottom of this page and click "Add a Guest," then select the third option to "scan their linking code." Click the blue button at the bottom of the screen which will open your phone's camera. You'll have the option to scan the QR code or manually input your friend's 6-digit code here. Repeat this process for each adult with their own account

If an adult in your party doesn't have a MyDisney account, they’ll need one to be added to your Family & Friends list. To create one for them, go to the "My Family & Friends" section in the MyDisney Experience drop-down menu online, click the blue "Add a Guest" button in the top right corner then select "Create a New Guest." When prompted, choose "Yes" to indicate that they will sign in and plan on their own. You'll also need to include their email address, which will generate a request for them to approve. Once they approve, they should appear on your Family & Friends list.

If you’re traveling with minors, a parent/guardian or whoever shares their room reservation should create a managed profile for them. After following the steps above to create a new guest, the person managing the minor's profile will need to allow others to connect and share planning. You'll find instructions for connecting managed profiles on this page

I hope that helps, Caitlyn. If you are still having trouble please reach out to a Cast Member via the online chat pop-up or by phone. They would be happy to help get everyone connected and answer any additional questions. In the meantime, please come back and see us again as you countdown to your visit!

    Magic and memories,
    Amy
