Hello! Our family is planning for our trip at the beginning of March and many of the restaurants say “Dining plans are temporarily unavailable “. Any idea when reservations will open up? Thanks for your help

Why hello there, Valerie! I'm so glad you followed the trail of pixie dust we left out for you and found us here at planDisney!

I see that your trip to Walt Disney World Resort is just around the riverbend and I couldn't be more excited for you. You're traveling just in time to experience The World's Most Magical Celebration, where magic awaits you around every corner - and in every restaurant!

One of my favorite things to do is plan my next Walt Disney World Resort vacation. (I know, big surprise!) But my favorite part of planning a Walt Disney World Resort vacation is making dining reservations! These are guaranteed pockets of time where I know I'll be able to sit down and soak in the moments around me. I'm able to share adventures of the day with my loved ones, take in the immersive theming and fill my belly with delectable desserts. There's just something about dining at Walt Disney World Resort that feels a little more magical!

Valerie, you are correct! Currently, Walt Disney World Resort is not offering Disney Dining Plans. These are plans that you would add on to your vacation package and would include pre-paid meals for the length of your trip.

However, I'm happy to let you know that Walt Disney World Resort IS currently offering Dining Reservations! These dining reservations can be made for restaurants 60 days prior to your trip. Since you'll be arriving in early March, you are welcome to make these dining reservations today! Just click the blue "Check Availability" button on the restaurant page to see the days and times when reservations are available.

Some of my favorite restaurants include Jungle Navigation Co. LTD Skipper Canteen in Magic Kingdom Park and Chef Art Smith's Homecomin' in Disney Springs. You can also mobile order food through your My Disney Experience app while you're on vacation - no reservation necessary!

If you have any other questions, or are looking for restaurant recommendations or tips, please feel free to reach out. We take food seriously here at planDisney and are happy to steer you in the right direction!

I hope to hear from you soon, Valerie. Remember, you've got a friend in me!
