My family and I are planning a family vacation and plan to visit Disney World in August. We will be staying at vacation rental off site, There will be 16 of us ranging from 10 years to 68 years. Is there a group rate?

Hi, Cynthia! I love traveling to Walt Disney World with a big group - which is a good thing since we always have a big group with us. There's something for just about everyone at Walt Disney World, so it's a great option for a multigenerational trip.

There are planning options for Disney Group Getaways, but to be eligible for discounts, you have to book a minimum of 10 rooms at a Walt Disney World resort. But let's see if we can find a way for you to get a few dollars off of your upcoming visit.

The first place to look is AAA. Not all AAA offices offer ticket discounts, but some of them do, so it's a good place to start if anyone in your travel party has a membership. You can also check with your employer. Some employers may have a program that provides employees with discounted tickets - check with your HR department.

Keep an eye out for Special Offers, Deals, and Discounts that may pop up prior to your stay. These often require a hotel stay, but not always. Just don't wait too long to buy the tickets, because you'll have to make a theme park reservation in order to go.

Lastly, Cynthia, if you belong to your local warehouse store, they sometimes offer Disney gift cards at about a 5% discount. You also get that discount if you are a red cardholder for a certain big-box retailer. Buy the cards at a discount, then use them to buy your tickets. Voila! 5% discount on theme park tickets!

Have a practically perfect vacation, Cynthia!
