    Me and my family are planning our Disney vacation for November 26 thru Dec 5 and have decided to explore the Disney Resort outside of the theme parks for a day or two. What are some fun things that we can do away from the Disney parks?

    Hey Lacey!

    There are so many *MAGICAL* things to do outside the Walt Disney World theme parks. Here are some ideas:

    • Since Walt Disney World will be decorate for the Christmas holiday during your visit check out the life-sized gingerbread house which doubles as a sweets shop at Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa and the carousel made entirely of chocolate at Disney's Beach Club Resort.
    • Visit Disney's Animal Kingdom Resort where you can view zebras, giraffes and many other savannah animals on the Arusha Overlook. After, you must get one of the world famous Zebra Dome treats sold only at the Animal Kingdom Lodge. YUM!
    • Head to Downtown Disney for a unique shopping experience with store such as World of Disney, Disney's Days of Christmas, Fit2Run, Goofy's Candy Company, The Lego Store, Marketplace Co-Op, Once Upon a Toy and Tren-D. Don't forget to stop by Ghirardelli Ice Cream & Chocolate Shop for some of their decadent chocolate creations.
    • Spend the evening at Disney's Polynesian Village Resort where you can dine on south seas-inspired cuisine at 'Ohana then grab a Dole Whip from the Pineapple Lanai before venturing down to the beach to watch the Electrical Water Pageant and Wishes nighttime spectacular across the Seven Seas Lagoon.
