My family is planning our Disney trip the first week in Feb. We are driving from NC to FL and planning to stop and stay in an hotel outside of Disney (about 30 min or less) on Tue night and then drive in on Wed morning. Any suggestions on where to stay?

    Hi Melanie!

We often drive to DIsney and stay at a different resort for our first night. We love being there first thing in the morning!

While most of the time we prefer to stay at one of Disney's value resorts since the prices are pretty economical most times of the year (and we love to wake up ON Disney property), we've also stayed at the Downtown Disney area hotels. These hotels are located just outside of Downtown Disney, and offer some pretty good values (be sure to check all the hotel discount sites!). This area has very good access to nearby restaurants, grocery stores, and maybe you'll even be able to head over to Downtown Disney for a nice meal.

    Hope this helps!
