My family is planning a cruise Oct 2024. I will have a 3yr old and a 10 month old at the time of cruising. With the small world nursery, how many hours can they stay a day.

    Waving hello to you Samantha!

Welcome to planDisney and thanks so much for sailing by with your question today. I'm happy to assist!

Disney Cruise Line features an adorably-themed “it’s a small world” nursery! on each of its five ships which cater to children under the age of three for an additional fee. Your little sailors will be in excellent hands as you enjoy an adult-exclusive meal, spa service, or even just some downtime during your sailing. You'll be able to make advance reservations for the nursery online, subject to your booking window. If this is your first sailing, you can begin scheduling onboard activities 75 days prior to your sail date. If you are an existing Castaway Club member, you'll be able to book earlier based on your membership level. Keep in mind that space is limited, and reservations are available on a first-come, first-served basis. I'd recommend reserving your preferred time slots as soon as your booking window opens.

While the minimum reservation time is 1-hour, the maximum number of hours you can reserve online will depend on the length of your particular itinerary.  At this time, you can reserve up to 10 hours per child for cruises between 2 to 5 nights. If your voyage is 6 nights you'll be eligible to reserve 15 hours per child, 18 hours per child for 7 and 8-night sailings, and 28 hours for voyages between 9 and 12 nights. Itineraries of 14 nights or longer can reserve a maximum of 35 hours per child in advance of their sailing.

I'm crossing my fingers that you'll be able to reserve all the sessions that work best for your travel party online via "My Cruise Activities" before you set sail. But if you aren't able to secure your preferred time slots, or need to request additional time you can visit the nursery in person once onboard. Sessions are always subject to availability, but you may see additional time slots become available as guests adhere to the cancelation policy. You'll be able to cancel reserved time slots without penalty as long as they are canceled more than 4 hours in advance of your little one's scheduled arrival. Cancelations within the 4-hour arrival window are subject to 50% of the session fee, and no-shows will forfeit the full cost paid for the reservation.

Samantha, I hope this was helpful. If we can be of further assistance please drop anchor right back here at planDisney. We're always all hands on deck when it comes to helping guests enjoy a most magical vacation.

    "Sea" you real soon,
    Amy
