    My Family are planning to come again next year for Christmas. Could we transfer money to my account instead of us having a Pre-Paid cash card and linking my account to that card? We had a lot of issues with the PrePaid card this year and would prefer cash

    Hi Stephen!

    Welcome back!  It's great to see a familiar name returning to ask another question.   I am thrilled you are finding our vacation planning advice useful as you chart out your magical holiday.   I hope you have an unforgettable trip.

    To answer your question, you cannot add cash directly to your MagicBand in order to have charging privileges.  In order to charge anything to your MagicBand you must have a credit card added to your account when you check into your Disney Resort hotel, either online or when you arrive.  If you do not add a credit card you will not be able to charge to your MagicBand.  My suggestion is to purchase Disney Gift Cards.   These gift cards can be used to pay for meals, buy souvenirs and even pay for Walt Disney World tickets.  Disney Gift Cards are easy to carry to the park eliminating the need to carry cash.  If I have trips on the horizon I will often buy a Disney Gift Card on each trip I take to the grocery store and save them up to use on our vacations.   I call it my Disney Savings Plan.
