Yee-haw, Lyndsay! Thank you kindly for stopping by planDisney with this great question.
Hoop-Dee-Doo Musical Revue is one of my favorite dining experiences at Walt Disney World Resort. Great choice! Let's talk about ways to book this hootenanny for your group so you can enjoy the show.
As you know, guests can make
advanced dining reservations 60 days before arrival, and your window is about to open! If you're a guest of a Disney Resort Hotel, you can book dining for the length of your stay (up to 10 days), so you might find the best availability later in your visit.
Since part of your group will be using the
Disney Dining Plan, I decided to double-check the best way to reserve this experience. I chatted with a square-dancing Cast Member who said you have a couple of options. You can book your time and select your seating category online for everyone in your party. You'll pay in advance for all guests, but upon arrival, let your server know which guests have the dining plan so they can refund those meals.
Another option is to recruit a second person to book for the guests who don't have the dining plan. That will take a little coordination, but my friends and I have done this successfully several times. We typically hop on a text thread to ensure we select the same date, time, and seating category. You'll need to let the Cast Members know at check-in that you'd like to be seated at the same table within the section. While it isn't guaranteed, they will do their best to accommodate you.
Your best bet might be to call the
Disney Dining line for assistance when your window opens. They should be able to book a single reservation for all seven of you, but you'll still need to pre-pay for anyone who doesn't have the dining plan. The dining reservation phones open at 7:00 AM EST, while online booking begins around 6:00 AM.
Lyndsay, I hope you chow down on some yummy vittles on your visit! If anyone in your party is
vegetarian or plant-based, I can personally vouch that the options at Hoop-Dee-Doo will satisfy them. I left with a full tummy and sore cheeks from so much smiling! Have a rip-roaring good time, and stop by
planDisney again.
Magic awaits,
Elaine
