we are a family of 5 with park passes left over. Some with names and some old paper passes with last name only. Does it matter who in the family uses the paper passes because I do not know which family member originally used the passes. Thanks

Hi, Shelley!  I totally feel your pain!  As a family of five, it can be hard to keep track of those passes, especially older ones that weren't as clearly marked.

The best thing for you to do is head right to Guest Services when you arrive at the theme park.  What they will likely do is trade your old passes in for the newer passes, which will eliminate any confusion at the turnstiles when you go in.

Have a photo identification with you - like your drivers' license - so they can see that the name is the same.  It only takes a few minutes to transfer your unused park days onto new passes, and you'll be on your way in no time!

You can absolutely try to go right to the turnstile, but if your pass was purchased after the biometric scanners went into place, your pass may be rejected if used by the wrong person.  The visit to Guest Services may end up saving you time in the long run.

Have a great visit to Walt Disney World!
