Hi there, Amber! Thank you for sending in your question to planDisney! I'm happy to help you plan your vacation during The Most Magical Time of the Year. During the holidays, all we need is faith, trust, pixie dust... and Christmas spirit!
One of the most endearing things about the
Disneyland Resort Hotels during Christmas is the visits from Santa and the holiday carolers. You'll also enjoy seeing the beautiful trees decorated in the lobbies; at
Disney's Grand Californian Hotel & Spa, an extra highlight is the seven-foot-tall gingerbread replica of the hotel.
If you have your heart set on staying on property, you can
book your rooms for your desired dates directly through the Disneyland website, but keep in mind that standard rooms can accommodate a party of five. Since a standard room will not accommodate your party size, regular rooms will show unavailable during your search. Based on a party of six, you'll want to search for 1-Bedroom Suite availability or book two separate room reservations. Each room will be on its own separate reservation. Just ensure that your name is not the primary guest on the second reservation, as there cannot be two room reservations for the exact hotel/dates with the same guest name.
When booking a hotel stay, you will be prompted to include multi-day tickets, which is considered a
Vacation Package. There is resort and
theme park reservation availability during the week of Christmas; however, availability is live and constantly changing, so I wouldn't delay for much longer. If you need help or want to speak with a Reservations Cast Member, you can contact them at (714) 520-5060.
The Disneyland Resort has lots of festive food and entertainment, Amber. Take a peek at the
Disneyland website for some ideas! Also, as you get a little closer, you can visit the
Hours & Events Calendar for specific schedules. Have a magical time!
