My family normally take our vacation to WDW Oct 1-15 every year but this time we are thinking of going late January. We are coming from Hawaii so I wanted to know what the weather and crowds will be like during this time. Are the water parks open too?

    Hi Crystal,

Aloha! I have always dreamed of traveling to Hawaii and hope to visit Aulani next year.

January is a tricky month to visit Florida. I have been there three times while my husband ran the marathon and have had three different experiences with temperatures ranging from 40-80. You will have no humidity and rain will not be as likely.

As for the crowds, you will experience some of the lowest crowds. Schools are back in session and the next break is President's week in February. October has Epcot's International Food & Wine Festival and Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party which many guests love to experience.

At least one of the two water parks will be open and the water is heated to 82 degrees as are all the pools.

    Wishing you a magical vacation!
