Ahoy, Ashley, and welcome to planDisney! The countdown to your cruise is on, and you've picked a fantastic itinerary – you'll visit both of
Disney's private islands, Castaway Cay and Lookout Cay at Lighthouse Point, as well as Nassau. There's so much fun to discover on the ship, too.
The themed nights add a layer of fun to any cruise. Your July cruise aboard the
Disney Destiny has two themed nights on the schedule. Day 3 (Nassau) has an optional dress-up night when Guests can wear something fancy to dinner (as you would on a formal night). Think along the lines of a suit, dress, or pantsuit. You can also look forward to
Pirate Night on Day 4 (Lookout Cay). That's one of my favorite evenings – there will be a themed dinner, special entertainment (including the Pirate's Rockin' Parlay Party), activities, and fireworks at sea (weather permitting). You can also dress up for maximum fun!
The schedule is subject to change, so you'll want to confirm the details once you board the ship and connect to Wi-Fi. Once you do that, check the
Disney Cruise Line Navigator app for the most up-to-date information.
I love that you'll be sailing on the
Disney Destiny, Ashley – it's an incredible ship featuring unique Character encounters with both heroes and villains, themed lounges and dining experiences, fantastic Broadway-style shows, and more. If you have the chance, De Vil's and the Haunted Mansion Parlor are fun spots for the adults in your group to check out.
There's nothing quite like a family cruise, and it's fantastic that you'll have five nights to soak it all up. Don't miss the family sessions of silent disco, trivia, and karaoke – they are so fun!
Ashley, I hope your family has the best time aboard the Disney Destiny. If you think of any other questions ahead of embarkation day, please reach out – we're always happy to help here at planDisney!
Your pal,
Kriss
