    Will my family need passports for our Disney cruise to the Bahamas or are birth certificates ok??

    Thank you for stopping by with another excellent cruise question! When you sail from a U.S. port and return to the same U.S. port you can travel with a certified birth certificate. But, Disney Cruise Line recommends all Guests travel with a valid passport in the event of an unlikely emergency while visiting a foreign port of call. If you need to fly back home due to an emergency, you will be required to have a valid passport to travel by air. My advice is to read over the Passport Information page on the Disney Cruise Line website so you can make an informed decision for your crew.
