My family and myself are planning to come to WDWR in June this year. I'd like to know from someone who has been and taken the dining plan if it is worth while. Also, can I take it when we arrive at the resort or do we have to book it ahead of time?

    Hi Ilana,

I have used the Basic Disney Dining Plan for my family of four.  My daughters were 9 an 7 at the time.  I found the plan to be worth it for us.  They were fed two meals and a snack for about $10 a day.

For my husband and I, he had plenty of food to eat and I had enough that I could share with the girls if they wanted.  For us, it allowed us to try a fancier restaurant because it is almost like a prix fix menu in some ways.

The Deluxe Disney Dining Plan offers you even more options with an additional meal and snack as well as the flexibility to eat at either a counter service or table service for all three meals.

I would look at how your family eats and then decide if the Dining Plan is worth it to your family.  If your family eats nothing, the price of the meal even if it is a good value is wasted.

Enjoy the amazing food experience that is Disney and try a new restaurant!
