Hey there, hi there, ho there, Rob!
We’re as happy as can be that you stopped by planDisney! It sounds like you have a magical adventure coming up, and you’re making sure everything is set before you head off to see Mickey and his pals. That includes making sure your
MagicBands are linked and ready to go, because what’s more fun than tapping in with a little pixie-dusted tech?
If your MagicBand is showing as “already claimed,” it’s likely already linked to an existing My Disney Experience account, especially if you purchased it through that account for a Disney Resort stay. No worries, though! First, check your MagicBands and Cards section in the
My Disney Experience app. If you see your MagicBand listed and marked as “Active,” you’re all set, and there's no need to do anything else! If it’s not showing up or you’re having trouble, double-check that you’re logged into the correct account. Sometimes, guests end up with multiple accounts without realizing it (my husband learned that the hard way!).
If you’re sure the MagicBand is yours but still can’t link it, a friendly Cast Member at
Website Support can work their magic to help. And if you’re staying at a Disney Resort hotel, the front desk can assist you in person as well!
Bonus tip: If you ever need a backup option,
Disney MagicMobile lets you use your phone or Apple Watch just like a MagicBand to enter the parks, link Disney PhotoPass photos, and more. My teenage son found this super handy when he forgot his MagicBand at home, and it's worth setting up in the My Disney Experience app before you go!
I hope this helps, Rob! Wishing you and your family a magical vacation filled with unforgettable memories!
