    My family members have the same Disney plans, but on different accounts. How do I get our magic bands to link together?

    Welcome to planDisney, Morgan!

    Sharing the magic of Walt Disney World Resort with family and friends is always extra special.  I'm glad to hear you and your family members already have your plans in place.  You'll want to connect with each other through your My Disney Experience accounts so you can plan and share together.

    You can invite Family & Friends to connect by selecting "My Family & Friends" under the My Disney Experience tab on or by using the My Disney Experience mobile app.  (In the app, you'll find Family & Friends on the "My Profile" tab.)  Scroll to the bottom of the list and select "Add a Guest".  You can connect by entering the Disney Resorts Collection hotel reservation number and last name of the party you wish to connect with, or you can select "I'll enter their name and age" and fill in the required fields.  You will then select either "Invite this Guest to connect" or "Share planning with this Guest".  (The wording varies slightly between the website and app.)  You will then be asked to enter the email address associated with your family member's account.  They will receive an invitation to connect, and once they accept you should be able to view the plans you share.  (You may need to adjust your sharing settings in Family & Friends to view each other's lists and plans.)

    A new, even easier way to connect with Family and Friends in the My Disney Experience app just launched.  Instead of sending an email invitation, you can connect by scanning or entering a code. You'll find your code in the app on "My Profile" -- scroll down to "Show my Linking Code".  Your family members can then scan your code through their account by selecting the menu button in the lower right corner of the home screen, then scrolling down to "My Profile".  At the top of the page select "Family & Friends List".  Scroll to the bottom of the list, choose "Add a Guest" and then select "Scan their linking code".  They'll be able to use their phone's camera to scan your code or choose the option to manually enter the code.

    Once everyone is connected through My Disney Experience, you'll be all set and be able to view and share all the details of your Walt Disney World Resort vacation.  There is not an additional step or process to link MagicBands together.
