Welcome to planDisney, Kayla!
It looks like you'll be arriving for your Walt Disney World Resort vacation very soon. How kind and generous of your relatives to purchase
Florida Resident tickets for your children! An adult will need to activate the tickets by showing
proof of Florida residency. This can be done at a ticket window or
Guest Relations location near the entrance to any theme park, the Transportation & Ticket Center, or the
Disney Ticket Center at Disney Springs. I like to take care of any ticket issues the day before I plan to visit the parks just so I have one less thing to worry about in the morning, and I prefer the Disney Ticket Center at Disney Springs because it offers convenient free parking. The Disney Ticket Center is located near the Disney Springs Welcome Center, close to the Lime garage.
I just returned home from Walt Disney World Resort myself, and have some summertime travel tips for you. This is the time of year when sudden Florida rain showers are common, so pack those rain ponchos! What really helped my family last week was waterproof sandals -- no one wants to walk around in soggy socks and sneakers! We also brought our own stainless steel water bottles, filled them with ice at our resort hotel, and refilled them with water throughout the day. You'll notice
bottle filling stations in some areas in the parks. Many quick-service dining locations had also set up water dispensers and cups for self-service. If you don't see water available, just ask at the counter for complimentary cups of ice water.
Kayla, I wish you a wonderful vacation during
The World's Most Magical Celebration! If you have any additional questions, please stop by and see us again anytime.
