Hi! If a family member is 2 but turns 3 in the middle of our trip does he need a park ticket?

    Hi there Jaime,

Welcome to planDisney and thank you for your question! I'm thrilled to hear you'll be celebrating your little one's birthday during your next visit to the Happiest Place on Earth!

Standard theme park tickets and a theme park reservation are required for all Guests ages 3+ for each day you plan to visit the parks. When purchasing tickets on the Disneyland Resort website, you'll see that there are tickets available for Guests between the ages of 3-9 and for Guests 10 and older.

Additionally, you can keep an eye on the Offers & Discounts page to see if there are new promotions for tickets or hotel stays that might also help you save on your upcoming trip! For example, there has been a special offer over the summer that expires on September 26 for discounted 3-day tickets with children's tickets priced as low as $50 per day. My family and I used a discounted Disneyland Resort hotel stay offer for a recent trip and it was a great way to help fit our favorite - the Disneyland Hotel - into our budget for the trip.

During your upcoming trip, make sure to go all out in celebrating your little one's birthday while visiting the Happiest Place on Earth! You can grab a complimentary birthday button for him from most checkout counters at merchandise locations around the parks and then he'll get all the birthday greetings during your visit.

Lastly, if you haven't discovered them yet, the Baby Care Centers are so helpful when visiting the parks with little ones - and they're not just for babies! Baby Care Centers offer a spot for families with little ones to take a quick break and offer changing tables, toddler-sized toilets, tables to eat a quick snack, and even vending machines where you can purchase just about everything you might need for a trip to the parks with a little one like diapers, wipes, over-the-counter medication, and more.

Thanks again for your question, Jaime! I hope you have a wonderful time visiting the Disneyland Resort with your family.

    Have a Magical Day,
    Greg
