Welcome aboard, Angela! The more friends and family you have joining you on your Disney Cruise Line vacation, the better! I love when my family and I sail together, of course, but when extended family and friends join us, it's even more magical!
Each time we've had friends or family join us, we've picked our connecting staterooms. We love having the option to open the door between our staterooms and go back and forth. It almost feels like a suite of sorts with two bedrooms that way. Another huge plus to having connecting
verandah staterooms is that in most cases, the partition between the two verandahs can be folded back by your stateroom host, creating one larger verandah to share. The agents at Disney Cruise Line at (800) 951-3532 can help you find staterooms that connect as you make your reservations.
When the additional guest makes his reservations, the two reservations can be linked and you can request to be seated together at dinner. Again, this is what my family does too! We love that we can all have a wonderful day onboard and in the ports of call doing whatever we like best, and then reconnect back together again at dinner each night to hear about everyone's day. Because Disney offers
Rotational Dining, you'll all rotate together through the three main restaurants each evening, and your same dining servers rotate with you. So, they get to know you and your preferences and you get to know them. My kids become really attached to our dining servers because the play games with them, tell jokes, show magic tricks and really become like part of the family. True Disney magic!
Have such fun planning, Angela, and please stop back with any other questions! We're happy to help!
