A family member will be celebrating their birthday during our next visit. Is there a way I can discreetly coordinate to have a birthday cake/other dessert or surprise to be brought to our table following dinner?

    Hi Lauren!

How exciting that you are celebrating a birthday at Walt Disney World! I take my kids to Walt Disney World every year for their birthdays and there are a ton of fun things to do.

You can absolutely order a birthday cake and have it delivered to a Walt Disney World restaurant. First, make sure to book an advanced dining reservation online, which you can do 60 days prior to your reservation. If you are staying at a Walt Disney World Resort Hotel, you can even book for the entire length of your stay (up to 10 days.) Then you will want to order a cake to be delivered to the restaurant in which you are celebrating. You can choose between dark, milk, or white chocolate flavoring for your Mickey Mouse cake. You can even have it decorated with "Happy Birthday!" When you are dining at the restaurant, the server will bring out the cake, which is such a fun surprise for the birthday guest!

Make sure to also pick up a complimentary Happy Birthday button when you check in or arrive at the park.

I hope you have a magical vacation!
    Magically,
    Stacy
