Hi there, Amanda!
Thanks for stopping by planDisney; I’d be more than happy to help you with your question. Remember that “‘Ohana means ‘family.’” This
Lilo & Stitch saying continues, “Family means nobody gets left behind or forgotten.” The last thing that you want to happen is for your party to be split up, so let’s get into what you should consider doing.
Your family of five can most definitely purchase one theme park ticket at a time. However, there is some risk in doing this. Although park reservations will not be needed for date-based tickets after January 8, 2024, a date could still sell out due to a theme park reaching capacity. In my opinion, it would be better to purchase them altogether if you can. You want to avoid some having tickets and others don’t.
For example, when my family of four visited
Disneyland Resort in California a couple of years ago, we did purchase all of our tickets at once, but we bought them very late. We only wanted to visit Disney California Adventure Park, but the only tickets available were those with a
Park Hopper Option. We learned our lesson that if you want a specific ticket, especially if it’s near a holiday, get the tickets all at once and as soon as you know that you’ll be visiting.
AN EXTRA GEM: If you plan on eating at a table-service restaurant while on vacation, I highly recommend that you make your advance dining reservations online or in the
My Disney Experience App as soon as possible. You can book reservations up to 60 days before your trip, and you’re already in that window. There are tons of Quick Service dining options around property, too, so Hakuna Matata if you’d rather play the day be ear once you arrive.
Amanda, please
revisit us here at planDisney if you have any other questions. Your most magical vacation is only a couple of months away. I’m sending so much pixie dust your way!
Magic always,
LeAndra
