Our family of 9 will be at Magic Kingdom on Christmas day. I have noticed that everything is booked up for dinner. Do you have any suggestions on somewhere that would be special to dine.

    Hi Jean,

Christmas is one of the busiest days at Walt Disney World, the in-park restaurants do tend to book up quickly. If you're finding limited availability in the parks, you may want to direct your search to restaurants in the resorts. Some of the less well known restaurants in the Magic Kingdom area are The Wave of American Flavors at the Contemporary and the Grand Floridian Cafe at the Grand Floridian. These tend to fill up less quickly than other dining venues, but still offer lovely meals.

If you're looking for upscale, then try looking at the signature restaurants in the Magic Kingdom area resorts including Artist Point at the Wilderness Lodge, California Grill at the Contemporary, and Citricos and Narcoossee's at the Grand Floridian. These all offer outstanding food and great wine lists.

I encourage you to head over to the independent website DisneyFoodBlog.com. Search there for an article called "A Holiday Without Dining Reservations" for tips on find places to eat during the WDW holidays. More helpful tips can be found on the independent site blog.touringplans.com. Search there for "Spending Christmas at Walt Disney World? Things to Think About."

And if all else fails, remember that most of the WDW quick service restaurants have terrific food. Eat a giant turkey leg and then head off for more rides. Fun!

Good luck with your planning. Please let us know what else we can do to help.
