I have a family of 8. We are looking for ways to save as well as making sure we have a great time. Any suggestions on where to stay, discounts, ways to save, etc..

    Hi Tessa!

Congratulations on your upcoming trip to Walt Disney World in December! The holidays are an excellent time to visit the most magical place on earth! You can enjoy the gorgeous decorations, holiday music, and special holiday treats.

How exciting that you are bringing your family of eight. I have several tips and tricks that will help you save money while still enjoying your time in the Walt Disney parks and resorts. To save money, I highly recommend a Casitas Executive Suite at Coronado Springs. Coronado Springs is a moderate resort but offers many of the same amenities that are offered at a deluxe resort. This room can sleep up to eight adults. Another option is to book two rooms at one of the Walt Disney World value resorts, such as Disney's Art of Animation or All-Star Music Resorts. You can request an adjoining room. It's important to note that Disney offers both adjoining and connecting rooms. Adjoining rooms are two rooms right next to each other. Connecting rooms are two rooms that have a door inside the rooms connecting them without having to go into the hallway. You can request adjoining, but not connecting, rooms at Disney's Art of Animation Resort.

Another benefit to staying in a family suite at the resorts I mentioned is that the family suites come equipped with a kitchenette. You can order groceries and have them delivered to your room so you can save money by preparing some of your meals. You can also order cases of bottled water, which is less expensive than buying them individually at the parks.

Another tip to save money is to remember that the longer you stay, the cheaper it is per day. If you purchase a 10-day theme park ticket, you will spend significantly less per day than you would with a one-day pass.

You can check out the special offers page for the latest special offers, deals, and discounts. I also recommend checking the Disney Parks Blog for announcements on special promotions.

I also like to save money by buying Disney Gift Cards at a discounted rate. You can use your Disney Gift Cards on almost anything Disney, including park tickets, resort reservations, dining, and merchandise.

Since you are visiting in December, yet another tip to save money is to spend a day of your vacation exploring the Christmas decorations at the resorts and Disney Springs!

I hope you have a magical vacation!
    Magically,
    Stacy
