my family and I are looking to take a trip to disney world and my wife is interested in finding the hidden mickeys...is there a map or directions for that? if so, where can it be found? Thanks!

Finding Hidden Mickeys is a great way to add a little extra fun to a Disney vacation. Former Moms Panelist Bret created a video about Hidden Mickeys which you can find by clicking on the videos section of our site. Look for the little box that currently says something about Angela Bassett and then look for the clip called "Hidden Mickeys."

There is no official map or directions for finding Hidden Mickeys, but there is a wonderful book about the subject called (not surprisingly) "Hidden Mickeys: A Field Guide to Walt Disney World's Best Kept Secrets" written by Steven M. Barrett. This book is available in the travel guide section of many bookstores and through Amazon.com. I have also seen it for sale in the Disney parks. You can also find information about this topic at hiddenmickeys.org and hiddenmickeysguide.com.

Although many of the Hidden Mickeys in the parks are well documented, there are constantly new ones being added to the park attractions. Who knows, may if you keep an eye out, you'll be the first to find a new one.

    Happy hunting!

p.s. My personal favorite Hidden Mickey is in the Soarin' ride at Epcot. In the golfing scene of the movie, keep your eye on the ball and you'll see a Hidden Mickey flying by.
