Dear Michael,
Thanks for reaching out to us here at the Disney Parks Moms Panel with your terrific question about traveling with your little one!
The great news is that Walt Disney World Resort is among the most accommodating vacation destinations when
traveling with young children, and your 18 month-old is sure to have a wonderful time! The best part about traveling with a child who is less than three years-old is that they are completely free when it comes to ticketing. Your toddler won't need a ticket to enter at all! They must be on your reservation, however, so definitely be sure to include them. The same holds true for the
Disney Dining Plan if you choose to use it, in that your 18 month-old will not require a Dining Plan at all (but still must be included when making dining reservations).
Even though they don't require a ticket, that doesn't mean that there aren't a lot of attractions that they will enjoy! Every one of the four theme parks has plenty of opportunities for the youngest Guests to explore and ride. Another tip for you - each of the parks has a
Baby Care Center, where you and your child can rest or cool down if needed.
All of the resort hotels on property are very accommodating to infants and toddlers, and using Walt Disney World Resort transportation means that you won't have to worry about getting from location to location while juggling your child's needs. You can either bring your own stroller from home or there are
plenty of rental stroller opportunities when you arrive!
Have a magical trip!
