Hi Leslie!
How exciting to be planning a 10th Anniversary trip to the Walt Disney World Resort!
An actual
Disney Fairy Tale Wedding or Vow Renewal is quite an expense, which I have looked at many times. My husband and I also considered doing this at either Walt Disney World or on a Disney Cruise Line vacation. In the end, we decided that we’d rather go all out on the vacation and not do the vow renewal.
That being said, I have a couple of suggestions for you. First of all, a vow renewal isn’t official, so you don’t actually need someone to officiate it, or a wedding license. You can simply get dressed up, and face each other and tell each other all of the things you want, maybe on the beach at your resort. You could also have a friend or family member ask “do you still?” to each of you! You could even make a day of it, wear bride & groom Mickey ears, get celebration buttons, and declare your love in each park using a park hopper ticket. Be sure to find a PhotoPass photographer to document your day!
You could plan a
Capture Your Moment photo session at either Disney's Magic Kingdom or Animal Kingdom park. This is a 20-minute private session with a PhotoPass photographer. They will take a TON of photos for you, in a variety of poses and locations. This currently costs $50 per 20-minute session, and can be booked online. Please be aware that you CANNOT wear a bridal gown into the parks, but you could absolutely wear something “nicer” to get some amazing photographs.
You could even celebrate into the evening at one of Walt Disney World’s amazing dining locations. I would recommend
Narcoosee’s. I had the BEST meal I’ve ever eaten at Disney there, plus there is a view of Cinderella Castle that can’t be beat! Be sure to tell them you are celebrating!
I hope you have an amazing Anniversary vacation to Walt Disney World!
Happy Planning,
Tracy
