My family of 7 (kids 7,5&2) will be visiting WDW for the first time ever the week of December 16-21. We are staying at a WDW resort and have the 4 day military ticket/park hopper passes. how do park hopper passes work?

Hi, Anna!  Park hopper passes basically allow you to travel in between all four of the Walt Disney World theme parks in the same day.  You can start off in the morning at one park, and whenever you want, you can leave and go to any of the other theme parks at any time during the day.  It doesn't "cost" another ticket to enter the other theme park - the hopper option covers that.  In theory, you can visit all four theme parks on one park hopper pass in one day.

The park hoppers work the same way any other theme park pass works.  If you have the Magic Bands, the passes are loaded onto your Magic Bands, and you will touch the Mickey head when you enter each park.  The system knows the type of ticket you have, so you don't have to worry about it not recognizing the park hoppers.  When you leave one park to go to another, you'll just do the same thing at the entrance to the second park - swipe your band and head in for the fun.

Have a great time on your upcoming vacation.  I can't think of a more magical place than Walt Disney World at Christmas time!
