Family of 5 (kids 17, 11, 5) staying at Beach Club with garden view for 10 days in June! Is there a better room location to request? Any suggestions on how to spend our stay, ie # of times at each park?

    Hi Shelley,

The Beach Club is my family's favorite Disney resort! A ten-day trip is a great way to enjoy it to its fullest.

When my family stays at the Beach Club, we feel it's particularly important to have a Park Hopper ticket. The hotel's close proximity to Epcot means that we pop into Epcot for at least a few minutes almost every day of our trip. On a typical day, we'll spend the morning at the Magic Kingdom, Animal Kingdom, or Hollywood Studios, come back to the hotel in the early afternoon for a swim at Stormalong Bay, and then take in a ride or two and dinner at Epcot in the evening. The Epcot area has the highest concentration of restaurants at Walt Disney World and the Beach Club is a quick walk away from all of them.

As for how many times to visit each park, that depends a lot on the interests of your children. For example, some people feel that one day at the Animal Kingdom is sufficient, but if your child is an animal lover, you could easily spend parts of two or three days there, riding the Safari multiple times, speaking with the keepers at Conservation Station, and taking your time on the walking trails.

With your nice long trip, don't forget that the water parks are a great place to cool off. There is also shopping, dining, and entertainment at Downtown Disney. You might even want to take a "break day" in the middle of your trip to sleep late and not leave the hotel.

As for location, there are bad rooms at the Beach Club. My husband likes to ask for a room on a high floor because he thinks they're quieter, but I've stayed there a dozen times in various locations and never noticed a difference.

Feel free to give us more information about your family and their interests and we may be able to give you more specifics about planning.
