Family of 7 (5 kids) one is 7 yrs. We are planning to visit WDW in Sept. & staying at Disney's All Star Sports(2 rooms). Would love to stay in a family suite but we are on a budget. Do you know of a way we could stay in a family suite with 7?

    Hi Heather!

Congratulations on your upcoming trip to Walt Disney World in September! September is my favorite time of year to visit. The weather is beautiful, the crowds are low and Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween party is a blast.

I've stayed at the All Star resorts for four years in a row and I can say that without a doubt, the standard size room is going to be way too small for your family. The room has two double sized beds and is only 260 square feet. It can hold four people, but no more.

You will definitely need a family suite, which is 520 square feet and typically can accommodate six guests, so it still may be to small for your family. You say that you have a seven year old, but I'm not sure of the ages of the other five children. If one is an infant, you can comfortably stay in a family suite with the child under the age of 3 in a pack-n-play. You can have two adults sleep in the queen bed, two children sleep in the sleeper sofa and then the other two chairs in the room convert to single beds for the other two children. This leaves one child without a place to sleep. Potentially three kids can bunk up in the double sleeper sofa or one child can sleep in the queen bed with both of you. You could also possibly have kids take turns sleeping in a sleeping bag.

Please let me know if I can help you with anything else at all!

    Magically,
    Stacy
