We're a family of 5 (kids are 15,12,7) going to Disney 12-29 to 1-4.Ttrying to decide between staying in the Animal Kingdom-Jambo House 1 BR villa (savannah view) or Bay Tower 1 BR villa (bay view). Love the location of BT but everyting else about AKV.HELP

    Hi Lori,

That is a very hard choice as both properties are amazing and offer such a different taste of Disney World. Both are Vacation Club properties and will offer the same great amenities like a fantastic pool, wonderful dining options,  spacious and comfortable rooms, health club facilities, and more.

Bay Lake Tower is of course the newest property and is situated on the monorail and within walking distance of the Magic Kingdom,. The biggest advantage to me in this property is location and ease of transportation. Bay Lake is just a monorail ride away from Epcot and a short bus ride to Animal Kingdom and Hollywood Studios. If you like to return to your resort early in the evening, you will still be able to enjoy Wishes from your resort.

Animal Kingdom on the other hand is accessible by bus only and given its location is a longer drive to three of the four parks. The main advantage here is the view and the ambience of the resort. The view of the savannah and the animals is so beautiful and the whole resort has a calmness to it.

Given the choice, although I love both, I would select Bay Lake Tower. Our family spends little time in our actual room so we would miss a great deal of time to enjoy the animals and view. For us it is all about location, location, location. I love the ability to jump on the monorail and especially love that I can walk right over to Magic Kingdom. We love being in the middle of all the action and Bay Lake is definitely that. Hope this helps just a little with your choice.

P.S. If you have not made your resort reservation yet I would call right away. That is an extremely popular time at Disney and these locations may be at or near capacity.
