We have a family of 6 with kids ages 5, 4, 3 & 1. I'm trying to figure out which rides will work for us and I'm wondering if you have any tips. Spaceship Earth for instance, can we ride with one adult and 2 kids each?

    Hi Ali,

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel and greetings from a fellow mama of many! I’m super excited that you’ll be bringing your Mouseketeers to “The Most Magical Place on Earth” and can tell you from experience that it’s the perfect vacation destination for families with lots of little kids!

I’m happy to tell you that in my personal experience, we had no problems fitting three people together on all of the attractions without a height restriction, including Spaceship Earth. They utilize bench style seating as to be comfortable for families of all shapes and sizes, and we were always able to fit a little kiddo in between a parent and a bigger sibling or else keep a really little one on our lap. Disney is amazing about creating moments that families can experience together. We have always found the Cast Members to be quite helpful, so if you’re ever wondering about the best arrangement for your family on an attraction, feel free to ask them!

Since you’re bringing several little ones, I have a few other tips that you may find useful. First, there is a LOT of walking on a Disney vacation, so I’d make sure you’re aware of the new stroller policies. If your stroller(s) don’t meet the guidelines, I’d recommend renting from Disney or any of their featured providers. Also, if there’s an attraction that you’d like to experience that your little ones aren’t quite ready for, the Rider Switch service is wonderful and allows you to enjoy the fun without waiting in line twice. Finally, the Baby Care Centers are great if you need a quiet place to feed or change one of your little ones or if you realize that you forgot something at home.

Oh, but back to Spaceship Earth for just a moment. There’s a touch screen in front of you, and you’ll want to be careful to not let a little one make your selections for you while you’re getting everyone situated or you may be listening to the entire ride in Portuguese even though you speak English! (Yeah, ask me how I know THAT one!)

Thanks so much for stopping by, Ali, and please let us know if we can help with anything else as you’re planning your trip. I hope that you and your family have a truly magical vacation!
