    How do I change/specialize family icons next to their names?

    Hi there, Amber!

    Welcome to planDisney and we're so happy that you stopped by with your question! As a technology geek, I love that you've been poking around the Disney Apps and trying to customize them to your liking. I suspect that you're either using the Walt Disney World website or the My Disney Experience App because you're able to see the My Family & Friends List along with your family members next to their icons. This isn't possible with the Disneyland Mobile App or Disneyland website. Nevertheless, it would be my pleasure to go over how to change the icon at both sites.

    • Walt Disney World: from the main website, hover your cursor over the "My Disney Experience" banner on the top right to reveal the pull down menu. Next to your icon, click on "Profile" and then select "Change Character" under your name. Similarly, from the My Disney Experience App, select the "☰" Features Menu and scroll down to "My Profile" where you will also see the "Change Character" option too.
    • Disneyland Resort: from the Disneyland website, hover over "My Disneyland" and you'll see the Profile link and the option to Change your Character. The same procedure can be performed within the Disneyland Mobile App as stated above. 

    Please note that you'll only be able to change the icon for your account and any accounts that you manage. If your adult family members want to change their icon, they'll have to log onto their account separately and follow the steps above. This will change your icon across all your Disney accounts. I hope you enjoy all the various options that are available to choose from! From Pixar to Star Wars to classic Disney, I'm sure you'll find something that fits your personality.
