Hello, my family (husband, 5yr old girl, 7 yr old girl) and I will be visiting in June. Looking for suggestions on where to stay between the art of animation and pop century.

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Lesly!  It's fantastic to hear you're planning on visiting Walt Disney World in a few months! You must be so excited!

My 11 year-old son, mom, dad, and I stayed at Disney's Pop Century Resort this past summer and while my youngest loved the Murphy bed and everything else about the recently refurbished rooms, my mom was the one in love with all the retro stuff displayed on the walls of the lobby, the building names, the music playing, etc.

I totally understand why you're so torn between those two wonderful Resort options! They're both great places to stay at, especially because of their distinctive theming and decorations with those super cute extra large icons! Also, both Resorts now have Disney Skyliner Service, which I'm sure you'll find super convenient!

I would recommend you choose Disney's Art of Animation based on your girls' age. They will be fascinated by the Little Mermaid theming and will love to see those larger-than-life icons for popular movies such as The Lion King, Finding Nemo, Cars, etc. This hotel has some of the coolest pools on propertyThe Big Blue Pool;, is the largest hotel pool in all of Walt Disney World Resort with over 308,527 gallons! Your daughters will relive the story of their favorite clown fish alongside all the beautiful giant set pieces of Nemo, Crush and other characters from the movie.

The smaller pool, Schoolyard Sprayground will fascinate your girls with its Finding Nemo theming, pop-up jets and gushing water. If they would prefer to stay dry, have them check out Squirt’s Righteous Reef, a Nemo-themed playground that will just perfect for them!

I hope this information has been helpful to you, Lesly. I know your family will absolutely adore Disney's Art of Animation Resort, and remember that Disney's Pop Century Resort is just a stroll away in case you all want to visit!

Please come visit us again should you have any new questions. We would love to be of more help!

    Wishing you a pixie-dusted vacation,

Meet the Panelist: Desiree, Peru

Hi! I'm Desiree from Lima, Peru. My family will never ever tire of visiting the Most Magical Place on Earth, even if means traveling almost 3,000 miles to do so! My husband and I love to watch the fireworks with our kids, but the best magic happens when the grandparents come along and we all feel the same age in front of Cinderella Castle! I love giving tips about different types of resorts and traveling with multigenerational groups.
