Hi Shivani!
Welcome to planDisney, and thank you for your question! Your visit to Walt Disney World Resort is in a few weeks, and I'm happy to help sprinkle pixie dust on your final bits of planning. You absolutely can opt out of the fingerprint scan (also known as a
Ticket Tag) whenever you visit the theme parks, but it's important to note that Walt Disney World does not keep fingerprints on file. They will attach your fingerprint scan to your tickets to ensure other Guests do not use yours and to streamline the process of entering the theme parks. Instead, everyone in your group can present a photo ID for verification. Visit Guest Relations before heading to the entrance turnstiles for assistance in bypassing the Ticket Tag system.
A visit to Walt Disney World in August calls for time in the pool! If the outside temperatures are too hot, head back to your Disney Resort hotel for a relaxing afternoon poolside, or consider visiting
Disney's Typhoon Lagoon Water Park during your visit! I recently visited Typhoon Lagoon for the first time, and it was so much fun! My oldest daughter raved about how amazing the
Crush 'n' Gusher was and enjoyed riding the waves at
Typhoon Lagoon Surf Pool (which is the largest wave pool in North America!). For a sweet treat, stop by
Happy Landings Ice Cream and order the Sand Pail Sundae, which comes in a bucket that you can take home as a keepsake!
Shivani, thank you again for visiting planDisney! If you need additional pixie dust before your visit,
send me questions at any time. You've got a friend in me!
Magic Awaits!
Frances
