We are a family of 5 and our home resort is BLT. For our next trip, we thought it would be fun to stay in a one bedroom at AK Lodge. I've heard that the rooms at Kidani are larger, but I'm wondering how far of a walk it would be to the main lodge?

    Welcome Home!

Thanks for joining us here with your question. One of the reasons that we found the Disney Vacation Club so appealing was the flexibility to enjoy so many different Resorts as a family. I love to hear that you are considering trying something new!

I think you will find that Disney's Animal Kingdom Villas at both Kidani Village and Jambo House are roughly the same size. the only exception to this would be the Value category Villas, which are smaller and located exclusively in Jambo House.

Which building to choose is a source of great debate in the Disney Vacation Club community. I happen to prefer Kidani Village for the tranquillity, beauty, and the added convenience of being the last stop before the Resort buses head for the theme parks and the first stop at the end of the night. That said, others enjoy Jambo House for the extra excitement, activities, and absolutely stunning lobby. There is no wrong answer.

Of course Members and Guests staying at either end of this unique Disney Vacation Club Resort do have access to both Samawati Springs Pool with Uwanja Camp and Uzima Pool. Reach them by either using regular shuttle service or make the 10-12 minute walk from one to the other.

I hope this is helpful! Please come back and see us with any other questions.

    Wishing you many magical memories,

    Sally
