Welcome to planDisney. Derenda.
How exciting that your family is heading to Walt Disney World next week! Traveling with little ones is such a special experience, and it’s natural to wonder which rides are perfect for a 32-month-old, especially when you’re hoping everyone can ride together.
At 38" tall, your child qualifies for quite a few rides across the parks, but there are still some attractions that might be a little intense for a younger child. On the Walt Disney World Resort website, you can check
each ride’s height requirement before you go. For rides that are more thrilling or fast-moving, even if your child meets the height requirement, consider whether she’ll feel comfortable. Sometimes it’s not just about height, but also the spins, drops, or dark scenes that might be scary for kids. I have two kids, and one of them enjoys thrill rides far more than the other.
Rides that might need some parental discernment are
Seven Dwarfs Mine Train,
Slinky Dog Dash, and
Kali River Rapids. Even when my son was tall enough for these rides, he didn't enjoy them (and I have a very funny Disney PhotoPass picture to prove it!); however, my daughter was the complete opposite.
Here's a tip: Don’t forget the
Rider Switch option. If there’s a ride that your child isn’t ready for, one adult can ride whilst the other waits with her. You can then switch without waiting in line again.
I hope that's helpful, Derenda. Thanks for choosing to be our Guest.
