Hi Amy!
I can't think of a better way to cool down during a magical stay at the
Walt Disney World Resort than a relaxing (and exciting) day at
Disney's Typhoon Lagoon Water Park! Of course, you want to make sure that you and your family are comfortable and safe!
There are currently no restrictions on what types of water shoes are allowed in the pools or on the slides. As long as the shoes are intended for use in water, they should be allowed! Unfortunately, water socks are not allowed since they are not intended for use without shoes or fins and could cause a guest to slip or fall.
I love documenting my Walt Disney World Resort vacations, so I completely understand wanting to be able to video every second of these exciting
attractions! Most GoPro mounts are allowed on the slides and in the pools, as long as they are not excessive. This means that both body-mounted and handheld GoPro mounts can be used! That being said, if a Cast Member or lifeguard sees something that they believe may be unsafe for you or other guests, they may ask you to remove the item.
If you have any questions or concerns, feel free to ask any lifeguard or Cast Member throughout Disney's Typhoon Lagoon Water Park. They will be happy to assist you! They want you to have a safe and magical visit, so they will do everything they can to make that happen!
Have a Great Big Beautiful Tomorrow!
