Hi Lindsey!
Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! Several members of my family also have food allergies and it never fails to impress me how amazing Walt Disney World is at accommodating everyone’s needs. It makes our vacations so much less stressful, especially if we do some planning ahead of time, so I’m glad to hear you’re already on top of that!
If you didn't note your allergy on your dining reservation, I’d recommend calling back to have that added so that the restaurant has the information even before you arrive. You’ll still likely be asked about any food allergies when you check in, so you can also mention it then. When you’re seated, you should receive an
Allergy-Friendly Menu and your server will be able to help answer questions. If you’d like, you can also request to speak with a chef about your options.
The Allergy-Friendly Menus aren't currently available on the Walt Disney World website, but I was able to find the breakfast version for
Akershus Royal Banquet Hall on the independent site www.gforlando.com (search the site for “Akershus allergy-friendly menus”). It looks like you’ll have some delicious options, Lindsey - the menu I saw included strawberry and plain yogurt, assorted cream cheeses, assorted cheeses, fresh fruit, a selection of sliced meats, smoked salmon, peppered mackerel, breakfast sausage, bacon and scrambled eggs, along with gluten-free versions of the waffles, potato casserole and breakfast pastries. Yum!
I hope that helps with your planning, but if you have any other questions as your trip gets closer, please visit us again. Wishing you a magical vacation!
Beth
