¡Hola Cesarina! Welcome to planDisney, we are so excited to hear that you plan on ringing in the New Year at Walt Disney World Resort. Oh, what fun it will be!
Cesarina, I just checked the
theme park availability calendar, and you are correct,
Disney's Magic Kingdom Park is currently sold out for New Year's Eve. However, I do have some suggestions as backup ideas. First, keep checking back daily (sometimes even more than once a day!) on your My Disney Experience app for availability openings. Guests drop reservations all the time, and you might get lucky and be able to get some reservations!
The next suggestion I have is to make a dining reservation at one of the monorail resort properties for dinner. I highly recommend
California Grill at Disney's Contemporary Resort for this idea. Not only will you have an incredible meal, but a fabulous view of Magic Kingdom, and after your meal, you can visit the rooftop balcony and watch the fireworks, all without the crowds that will be at the park! I also suggest a meal at
'Ohana at Disney's Polynesian Village Resort as well, and you can watch the fireworks from the beach area.
Lastly, I suggest making a theme park reservation for
Disney's EPCOT Park. There is lots of holiday magic to find here, and World Showcase is a wonderful place to be in the evenings with your friends and family! I suggest making a dining reservation at
Via Napoli Ristorante e Pizzeria for delicious pizza, or
Chefs de France for a lovely sit-down meal.
Cesarina, I hope some pixie dust finds you and you can get reservations to Magic Kingdom. If not, I hope my suggestions help you figure out a magical plan B! Have the most wonderful visit to Walt Disney World, ¡feliz año nuevo!
Frances
