Hi, my family and my friend's family are going to disney world next year around thanksgiving. What should we expect regarding weather, crowds, etc?

    Hi Jen,

Thanksgiving is one of the busiest weeks at the Walt Disney World Resorts. With the decorations for the holidays being almost complete, guests want to experience this unique pixie dust.

You will find that the parks will begin to get more crowded the closer you get to Thanksgiving Day and then taper off starting the Sunday after Thanksgiving. You will definitely want to make all your Advance Dining Reservations (ADRs) as far out as possible because the restaurants will fill up especially on Thanksgiving Day.

You also might want to set expectations with your children on the number of attractions they will experience this trip. When we tour over busy holidays, we give each person three must dos a day and at least cover those attractions. Then no one feels disappointed and the rest is sprinkles on the sundae.

As for weather, it will be cooler than the summer and no humidity. You should check a weather service to pack accordingly. Also, the pools are heated to 82 degrees if you want to swim.

    Wishing you a magical vacation!
