My family and I are frequent visitors to Disney World in Orlando, but this will be our first trip to Anaheim. What are the "must sees" or experiences that are different from Orlando, in either park, that we need to do while visiting?

    Hi Allyson,

Thank you for making a magical stop here at the Disney Parks Moms Panel. First trips to The Happiest Place on Earth are the best.

Be sure to stop by Guest Services and get your family free First Visit buttons to wear during your trip; Cast Members that see the buttons in the parks will be sure to send warm wishes throughout the day.

Visiting Walt's original theme park with all the history and magic, in and of itself, is something to take in. I recommend stopping by City Hall on Main Street U.S.A. to ask about special tours like "Walk in Walt's Disneyland Footsteps" Guided Tour.

Newly refurbished attractions and magic you won't want to miss are Big Thunder Mountain Railroad, Finding Nemo Submarine Voyage, Sleeping Beauty Castle Walkthrough, all of Disney California Adventure (specifically: The Little Mermaid - Ariel's Undersea Adventure, Radiator Springs Racers, all of Carsland, Goofy's Sky School, and California Screamin'), to name a few.

There are attractions that are similar but I wouldn't say most are exactly the same. Attractions like The Pirates of the Caribbean, Jungle Cruise, Peter Pan's Flight, The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror, Splash Mountain, and Buzz Lightyear Astro Blasters are slightly different and worth seeing the uniqueness in my opinion.

Carthay Circle Restaurant is a must see and their menu is exquisite, you will want to try their Rose Petal Soda or the Carthay Club Mojito, these being a tribute to the "Golden Age" of Hollywood.

I hope this is helpful and that you have a lovely time. If you have any more questions, please write us back on how we can help you plan your pixie-dusted vacation.

Best wishes for a magical trip!
